Mower Cranks Slowly & Starter Struggles

If your lawn mower cranks slowly or the starter struggles to turn the engine, check the battery condition, battery cables, electrical connections and starter circuit. Excessive engine resistance can also cause slow cranking, so test the starting system before replacing parts.
